In the office late tonight, we all just took a break to huddle around someone’s computer and grin like idiots at this.
We were 5 days out from election day. I remember feeling physically and emotionally exhausted, yet simultaneously energized by the people around me and the message we stood for. I realized then that regardless of the outcome of the election, I would leave as a winner, a changed person. I had only started to learn the hard lesson that many have to face in the world of politics: sometimes you don’t win. However, one year after that tweet, I have learned an even bigger lesson: you always always always keep moving forward.
